The writer and director Aly Muritiba, has already made 9 short films, 2 documentaries, 2 feature films and 5 TV series with which he has won more than 150 awards at film festivals. His main achievements are with the short films "The factory" (winner of over 60 prizes at national and international festivals, also nominated for OSCAR 2013), "Pátio" (selected for Cannes Festival Critics Week), "C(Us)Todians" winner of DOK Leipzig 2013) and "Tarantula" (short selected at the Venice Film Festival in 2015). His first feature film "To my Beloved" won the Global Filmmaking Award at the Sundance Institute in 2013 and in 2015 won 7 awards at the Brasilia Film Festival, including Best Director, as well as festivals such as San Sebastian, Amiens Int'l FF, and Havana. "Rust," his second feature, made the world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018, and was voted Best Film at the Gramado Festival.
For TV, in 2016 Aly directs the fiction series "The Hypnotist" - S2 (HBO). In 2018 Muritiba writes and directs episodes of the second season of the series "Carcereiros" (Rede Globo), and collaborates in the scripts and directs the 8 episodes of the series "Irmãos Freitas" (TURNER). In 2019 Aly signs direction of 3 episodes of the series "Irmandade" (NETFLIX)
